My question involves criminal law for the state of: NV
Hey Everyone,
I left a former company and started the process of making my own company in the same field as my ex company (collectible toys). I received a cease and desist saying to stop with my plans (which I was expecting) saying I took their protected information, e-mail lists etc. I did not take anything, so thats not a worry to me.
The part that I'm confused about is in their letter it says if I don't stop with the plans of making my company they reserve the right to go after me for embezzlement. This is coming from their attorney's office and not from the police. For starters I didn't embezzle so I'm not sure how they came up with that but how can you do criminal charges via an attorney cease and desist? I have forwarded it to my attorney but he is unavailable this week so I just wanted to hear what the threads said. Thanks.
