Hi, my 18 year old brother is currently on probation for 18 months for domestic violence charges, but has only completed about a week of it. Our family came to the conclusion that the future for him is simply better in Mexico (due to being able to work over there and having no criminal record), so my question is, could he pay his probation fees early and leave the country early? I was thinking that maybe he could just give up his legal status (L2 Visa) and never come back into the U.S, therefore guaranteeing that he would not come back. I mean technically we'd be doing the court a favor by taking him out of the country since he probably would violate his probation here anyway and would end up wasting tax-payer's money in jail for a year.
We live in Texas if that's of any help.
