My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: NJ
when my father died,, he had around 10 guns, a bunch of tools, furniture etc, my question is,, who gets these things should they be apprised and listed as assets?
when my father died with no will,, he was married to his 3rd wife who is now executor they owned a house (tenants in common) and Im wanting to know if im also entitled to part of the gun sale proceeds and part of the appraised value of the jointly owned furniture and his tools that are all located inside the house etc. or does that just all go to his wife, that's why its not listed in the assets form?
I cant seem to find an answer, so im hoping someone can clear this up for me,, thanks, tony
