Initiation of Charges Possible Harassment Charges

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

Sorry if this is the wrong forum so feel free to move. I'm new here so please be patient with me:)

I used a spoofed number on my smart phone to send a couple of harassing text messages to a former client of mine. (This client made a threat to me by text 6 month ago as well). This client kept calling my spoofed number back (Those of you who don't know what a spoof number- it's a special app that enables you to call from a different phone number). This morning I got a voice message at this spoofed number from a deputy in my Ex client's city Police station, asking me to call back. I didn't reply. It appears my client went to the Police and possibly filed a report/complaint. In research that I did on the net it looks like the spoof number can be traced back to me by the victim's phone carrier, however a court ordered subpoena has to be issued to the phone carrier.

My question is: what are the chances the Police will produce a subpoena and go after me for harassment? and if they do, what is my best recourse for defense?

Thanks!
