My question involves medical malpractice in the state of: Florida. My podiatrist diagnosed a linsfranc injury in the left foot, after discussing options and weighing the pros and cons of each, we decided surgery was the best option, I was told I would be scheduled for Friday morning and would be contacted about the details. About a day and a half later, I hadn't heard from anyone so I call the office to follow up and am told they didn't schedule the surgery because they didn't think I wanted to pay the fees, I told them to schedule as soon as possible and let me know what to pay so I can make arrangements. Less than 24 hours before my surgery I finally get a call saying I need to have $3,087.50 when I arrive for surgery. Is there any recourse I could take regarding this?
