My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of Alabama
My landlord has left town and the only contact number available to me is disconnected.
Due to the low temperature weather my main water supply line broke where it comes out of the ground in crawlspace and water company shut of main valve.
There is no written lease as its rented month to month.
Can I as a tenant call plumber to fix it and present landlord with bill and or have it billed it in his name?
No alternative phone contact known and no return date given by landlord.
What options do I have so I can have running water (which had to be established in my name) again?
Thanks
