Probation and Parole: Probation, Travel, Search and Seizure

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Missouri

I am newly on probation and was issued a travel pass to accompany my partner on a weekend business trip to CA. While away for the day, we returned and realized our room had been entered and my legally prescribed medicine tucked in my makeup bag was taken, along with the bag. The random circumstances and timing felt very strange and the security staff were not helpful or accommodating. I filed a report with the hotel security as well as a police report. After the hotel's "investigation" they could provide "no explanation" of how this happened and or who could have taken it. Our recorded comings and goings checked out and the only other person in our room was a long time service staff employee whose denial they believed. I read that warrantless searches can be performed on probationers while traveling--is it legal for a search and seizure of my legitimate medication take place without my knowledge or any explanation?
