Hi, i'm from Argentina, i know this is a United States forum, buy maybe you can help me a little, here we go.
In november, 2014 i bought a product from AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.) that was supposed to come with a voucher, the problem was it expired two months before purchase date (printed in invoice), so i decided to communicate with involved entities.
The vendor told me that AMD manages the promo so i should contact them to ask for a new one if possible.
AMD says that the voucher belong to an expired campaing and if i want to get a new voucher, i need to talk to the vendor/manufacturer, because they don't provide the keys.
Finally, none takes over. I was reading terms and conditions and FAQ of the promo, and i told to AMD some like this:
-------
If i can't get a code so i want the keys of games of my choice. The official web site (http://ift.tt/1uOZz9j) which is an AMD site, announces :
"Choose the games you want from a large selection MOST of AMD Gaming Evolved titles. Redeem your code now for the games you see, or hold on to your AMD Radeon Reward coupon for upcoming games. When you see a game you can not live without, redeem your coupon, choose your favorites, and let the games begin. Redeem your Game (s)"
And the most important:
"Please note, the AMD Unique ID / voucher code must be redeemed During the Campaign Period (expiration date: January 31, 2015) after the AMD Unique ID Which is void. Visit http://ift.tt/1w2Cl0u for additional information."
Not yet reached the limit date (January 31, 2015), I RECENTLY bought an eligible "AMD Radeon R9 280X" (because it came with a coupon), according to this site (http://ift.tt/1xFYQgw) should obtain a "Radeon Gold Reward" so i want to redeem now.
Otherwise it is misleading advertising.
Support Ticket ID: 193713 (contains invoice, voucher and warranty photos)
Regards.
--------
And something like this:
--------
In "Terms and Conditions" ("http://ift.tt/1z2UUqq;) says:
"Campaign Period: Campaign Period begins September 2, 2014 and ends on January 31, 2015 or when supply of Key Codes is exhausted, whichever occurs first. Eligible AMD Product must be purchased during Campaign Period. The AMD Unique ID must be redeemed during the Campaign Period to obtain Application downloads after which the AMD Unique ID is void."
So if i'm right, my eligible product was purchased during the current campaign period (according to the date of the invoice), also no warning that specifies a possible previous campaign expired coupon inside the package on sale in the current campaing period, i mean no warning on card, instructions, and all others elements that were included in the purchase or even the F.A.Q. or terms and conditions.
I paid to you (AMD) the same for something that other people did obtain, i wan't the same, i refuse to spend money for something that should have obtained.
Regards.
--------
They answered more of the same, that these terms and conditions do not apply to my "old promo", and this:
Question 6:Do the unique coupon codes expire?
Answer 6:All unique coupon codes have an expiration date. The expiration date should be stated on the physical voucher or e-mail that was given to you by the vendor. The code must also be used to obtain the free game downloads by this expiration date, after which the code will be void.
