Robbery: Robbery and Assault Charges

samedi 24 janvier 2015

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Missouri

I've been pending two felonies of assault and robbery for a little over a year now, but it looks like it is about to be over finally. The robbery charge was that I supposedly stole a title interest from my ex girlfriend by making her put my name on a title of a truck that she supposedly bought on her own. We bought the truck together at an auction 50/50.

The DA that was on the case originally was not budging any which is what took the case so long I suppose. At the first of the year however a new DA came in and took over the case. My lawyer said that he would agree to drop both charges if I would just sign the truck over to my ex girlfriend. The truck and title is with my ex gf 500 miles away so I could really care less about the truck and agreed being very happy that this would finally be over. I go to my lawyers office monday to sign the papers. My question is, does me agreeing to this show admission of quilt even if both charges get dropped? It just seems weird that I'll be not guilty on both charges but then have to give her my half of the truck.

Thank you in advance, and yes I'll be asking my lawyer all this and more monday. I just wanted a little insight before I went.
