Custody and Visitation Issues: Non Custodial Father Causing a Headache

samedi 24 janvier 2015

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: MA

I will try to check this short... The non custodial parent filed for visitation and custody in MA. He was granted limited visitation back in 2010 and was denied any custody. He only visited with the child once in 2 years. After a period of no contact he filed a motion to amend the current schedule , requesting more time. It was denied and his time was shortened. He filed to show again for 2 years. He filed another motion for more time, that was denied and he was granted supervised visits. more time went on and he failed to visit.

fast-forward to now... I filed a motion to terminate visitation with a request of documentation showing I have full custody. The case was continued due to the father being in the hospital. I attended the rescheduled date and he was a no show.

Visitation has been revoked and I have been granted full legal and physical custody. Given the information, am I obligated to remain in contact with him. He has started contacting me several times a week, mostly to harass me, but will text me that I am keeping my child from him and he is keeping record via text. He also says because I have his child I must answer every call from him no matter what time it is. is this true?
