Speeding Tickets: Oregon Speeding Ticket, Radar Interference, Old Radar Unit, Calibration

mercredi 14 janvier 2015

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Oregon

Barry and the gang, I request your advice. My traffic date is this Friday! I know Oregon has very difficult rules and laws around speeding that make it almost impossible to win a speed trial.

  • The ticket I received was in Gresham, OR. Alleged 63 in a 35 via Radar

  • Same Cop that had just given me another ticket for cutting across private property a few months prior.

  • Requested discovery from police and after getting the run-a-round I was charged $50 for making copies and charging for time research. Somehow my discovery request changed to a public records request? I always called it discovery.

  • The radar used is a 2002 Talon radar.(Very, very old). I have the service records for it. Can the Age of the radar equipment be used to exclude radar?

  • The Street and the spot where the ticket was given has passive radar that shows drivers their speed. Is radar interference a defense to exclude radar?

  • There seems to be no disclosure regarding last calibration of unit and I requested it in my discovery. Is this a defense in Oregon?

Thanks looking forward to any help.
