Visitors and Guests: Can the Landlord Freely Enter Commom Areas of a Shared House

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California

Good afternoon,

I live in a shared house with 3 housemates, everyone has its own room and we used the common areas of the house and we have our stuff their. Although all of us consider that the landlord shouldn't go to the house whenever he wants because there is a There is a clause in our leases that specifies that the landlord must give us at least one day notice in advance to access to the property, but he consideres that he has no right to access to the rooms but is free to access to the common areas of the house, so he is almost every day visiting the house.. which is quite annoying.

Does owner really have the right to access common areas of the house (kitchen, living room, dining room...) freely??
