My question involves traffic court in the State of: On May 02 2014 I received a ticket on 80HWY going threw Truckee CA. MY court was scheduled according to my ticket for end of June when I went they notify me that it had been scheduled due to the court clerks behind in entering the information on the system. They Said that they would send me a notice with the new court date. I kept calling for a month nothing had been updating. I got busy with life and I decided to wait for the notice on the mail. Today October 10th 2014 I received a collection notice for $638, $300 had been added because I didn't show up to court. I was never notify when I called the court they said that it was my responsibility to keep calling every day till they had time to enter the citation in their system that they were short staff and there was nothing they can do. I don't think this ok there must be some kind of rule against this. Is it my fault that they don't have the staff they need. I did my part I went on the date I had on the citation. I don't live close by I'm 8 hours again.
