My question involves criminal records for the state of: Georgia and Arkansas
Thank you in advance for responses. In the state of Georgia my daughter has a dismissal for Diversion and a discharge for First Offender Act...(shoplifting). Are these convictions? If there were (there is not) a new charge would the judge use these as if they were convictions to sentence her in a harsher manner?
In the state of Arkansas she has an expungement for a misdemeanor. Is this considered a conviction?
For those of you that may be tempted to judge...she is in weekly psychotherapy sessions for over a year now and is on three psychiatric medications and has the support of her family. We constantly pray that she is helped and makes good choices. Again, thank you.
