Mortgages: Default Question, How Much Time May I Have Left

lundi 6 octobre 2014

My question involves a mortgage in the state of: California

Hello,

I have been unemployed for 2 years. I have exhausted my IRA paying bills. I haven't been able to pay my mortgage since July ($1400 per month) I can retire Dec 1 with my pension and $175,000 available, which will solve these problems. Whenever they call, it's a call-center in another Country (I think) and just go through their talking points with threats. "Can you pay tomorrow? Can you pay the next day? Can you borrow the money from your parents..." Etc

I tried to renegotiate my mortgage terms with them 3 years ago when I foresaw this problem, and they refused (OCWEN Mortgage) I owe $55,000 on a $450,000 house. I haven't had a problem paying my mortgage in 32 years here.

What are the chances I will be okay until I can pay in full ($9000 ish) in January?

Thank You.
