Adverse Possession: Adverse Possession when the Owner is Deceased

samedi 8 novembre 2014

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Indiana

In my town there are hundreds of abandoned homes mainly because of owners being deceased, rather then wait for the home to burn down or crumble from disrepair, its more logical to try to take adverse possession of the home, fix it up , pay its taxes, but i am scared that i would be arressted. If there is no one to dispute you taking possession and care of a home, can anyone else make problems for you, call pólice, or anything like that.. and if it is easy, could someone get in trouble for showing the homeless people in this city how to do it for themselves or starting a charity to make it easier.
