Dear Honorable Judge.
I am writing explain the circumstances regarding a traffic infraction I recived on December 31 2014 I was driving east bound on H1 from Kapolei in the far left lane. While passing Waikele police officer Ikemara turned on his lights and pulled me over as soon as he turned on his lights I looked down at my speed and I was going 60 MPH the officer then told me that he clocked me going 75 MPH at the Eva beach cutoff. The only problem I have with that is I was the only one on the road at the time I passed the cutoff. when officer Ikemara gave me my ticket it said I was ticketed by pace not by a laser gun.
This brings me to my second infraction officer Ikemara gave me he cited me for crossing the yellow line that separates the shoulder lane from the regular lane but the only time I crossed that line was when I pulled over after officer Ikemara turned on his lights.
The only othe ticket I recived was a speeding ticket but was told that there where complications in the ticket and it was dismissed.
I would like to ask for a mitigation in recollection of my record and my income as I am currently saving for school and helping take care of my elderly Grandpa.
traffic infraction codes are HRS 291C-102 and HRS 291C-38C6
If anyone could please let me know if this is the correct way for writing a letter for speeding I would really appreciate it
