My question involves an eviction in the state of: colorado
so this is long i hope you can follow me. i rented a free standing garage with my apt and it was in my lease. one day the landlord needed the open garages for rent to others. there computers stated that the garage i rented was open . so they went into the garage noticed it FULL and ordered the employees to remove the items without finding out whos it was. i payed the rent for over 7 months and since the computers did not have me renting it i always had a credit every month and they did not notice. they removed everything i owned up there. EVERYTHING.. they informed me what they did and stated "by mistake" after going up there to see what they did i took pictures of an empty garage. i was lost in what to do so i called the police. since my renters insurance told me to. but the police did nothing but tell me its a civil case. with all that going on i received a 3 day demand. i noticed that they charged me for the garage which i no longer had. i went to the landlord she changed the amount gave me credit for the garage and all late fees. but never put that in writing it was told to me over the messages on my phone which i still have. she reduced my rent but failed to ok that with the main office. the manager went on vacation so with me trying to fix this mess they caused it got worse. i wrote a letter to the main office asking for help. they refused to help and stated that there was nothing in the computers stating the credits. i went ahead and payed the rent late but paided. after paying the rent the amount the manager told me to pay, days late ,the office sent me to lawyers. with the rent payed they filed for eviction. they cashed it and held on to check for 11 days then the day before the hearing they put my rent back into my bank. they called me the day of hearing telling me they refunded my rent due to lawyers fees not payed. so i countered them for my lose due to them removing everything i had. my items never went to the trash like they said so. it went onto a truck and it drove off of the property. the pictures i have shows a truck went into my garage.(snow on ground) this was done by there mistake. they knew it was mine or should have known and there was boxes up there with my name on them and i found pics on the floor after they left my garage of myself and grandson. they knew it was mine... but still removed it all and what they did not take they cut it up. then would not help, but took my rent then refunded it weeks later. they stated to give them amount for my lose but then they refused to help its like they wanted it to go away and never happened.. i lost way to much for me to forget what they did.....can they do any of this.. i cant find another case like mine to get any answers on how to fight this. can they still evict me if there is to much he said she says. i have everything on voice messages . this was the hardest thing i had to deal with and dont know where this will go with the eviction and the counter suit..any help is grateful and needed so much.. they caused all of this by tossing out my personal items due to a mistake....hearing in district court and i have no lawyer... thanks for reading and hoping someone can help .. tell me whats next and can they evict me and it stand... i should not owe them anything.. they owe me. the apts are also a fed tax credited complex. for low income familys
