My question involves real estate located in the State of New York: I am interested in purchasing a property that has been foreclosed for non-payment of taxes. Under the agreement, I would rehabilitate the property to city code standards and the city will convey to me the Quit claim Deed. My questions are: 1-Will this QuitClaim Deed supersede any existing liens against the property from the previous owner?
2- What are my next steps to acquire a clean deed/title to the property once I received my Quit claim Deed from the city?
