As per the SSA.gov web site, SSA will consider an individual disabled under Social Security rules if "We decide that you cannot adjust to other work because of your medical condition(s)."
Does anyone know the particularities of this decision? Is it any related work or ANY job under the sun? What if the disabled individual has only been trained for manual/construction work for his entire 30 year career and now cannot stand? Will an individual making six figures in a physical field be denied based on their ability to work at Burger King?
Any help would be much appreciated as I am very inexperienced in the area of disability.
