Mortgages: How Long Does a Bank Have to Transfer a Deed if I Get a Different Loan

lundi 17 novembre 2014

My question involves a mortgage in the state of: Nebraska.

I had a loan through a bank and have had another bank buy out that loan. In my understanding the bank that initially held my loan has 60 days to transfer the deed to my new bank. I was selling this home because i moved and had a closing date set about 80 days after having transferred my loan. I was unable to close on the date which I suppose to because they the county, my bank, nor I received anything from this bank about the deed or the transfer of loan. Now i find out that the bank that had my loan to begin with had the wrong legal and had to redo the deed and did not send the right paper work therefor missing the the closing date because they sent the wrong deed with the wrong legal on the loan. After contacting the bank several times to try and get the right paper work without hearing anything from them i filed a complaint with the BBB and finally they contacted me, it then took them over a week to get the paper out right. I first contacted the bank with the original loan and it took over 3 weeks ( After the 60 days was up.) to finally get the right paper work out to my bank and get this settled.

What am i entitled to and what actions do i need to take?
