Traffic Lights, Signs and Controls: Red Light Violation, VC 21461(A)

mercredi 19 novembre 2014

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

So I was turning right from an intersection, it was a yellow arrow light, it had turned a SOLID red as I was turning. The cop pulled me over and decided to "be nice" and gave me a failure to obey a regulatory sign instead of running a red light. I went back to the intersection and the ONLY sign posted was a "Red Light Violation" sign with the minimum fine, but no "No Right Turn on Red" sign. I didn't even run a red light since I turned on a yellow. It was also the 2nd to last day of the month so my guess is he needed to fulfill his quotas and he gave me the lesser of the tickets since he can't prove I ran a light. Would I win this at all in court?
