Relocation: Non Custodial Parent Moves Out of State

jeudi 9 avril 2015

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: FL

My ex recently decided to move to Texas. He gave me 10 days notice that he was leaving. He was fired from his third job in 2 years and claims he found work with his brother there. My question is, if he moved and barely gave notice, does he still have rights to see her? The current plan allows him to have her every weekend ( full weekend, half weekend rotated) which he obviously won't be exercising. Our daughter is only 2 yrs old and I can't imagine her going to visit him for several weeks at a time over summer breaks since she is so young. She has always lived with me and he has never taken care of her for more than 48 hrs at a time. We have had several issues with him exposing her to dogs (against our parenting plan) causing her to get sick and have 2 surgeries. He has broken the current plan several times in several ways over the past year and has threatened to keep her from me. Will the court grant substantial time sharing since he left on such short notice?
