My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Florida. I rented a piece of medical equipment from a company as per doctor prescription. After treatment with this equipment the doctor saw good progress and prescribed to stop using it. The rent from the company was arranged by doctor's office. Now the problem is the rental company doesn't come over a week to pick up their equipment, contrary to nany phone agreements and under laughable and miserable excuses ("we completely forgot about it, but we'll come tomorrow"). I call them numerous times and have prescription to end the use of their equipment. I suspect they may unlawfully and misleadingly charge me for use beyond prescribed period. Question is, can I charge them for storing their equipment at my home? Equipment is worth over 3000 usd. Thank you.
