My question involves civil rights in the State of: Missouri
I posted something on the schools instagram page, along with some friends of mine. Heres why: We got yelled at for disrespect (yet we got awarded a character award, being 12 schools out of a total of 3,000 in state the day before) by the head principal for like 5 minutes about only these 3 things: Headphones in the hallway, talking during lunch announcements, and texting when we’re in school. When I mean yell, he yelled as loud as he could, the whole time throughout. However, after the main part of speech he directly came to our table, out of everyones, and pointed his finger at us and yelled about how we were suppose to take this seriously and not smirk. This went on for about 1-2 minutes about how we were immature and he could suspend us for insubordination. He finished with, ‘YOU NEED TO GROW UP!’ Well, we have a very high temper person/has a record at our table, so he calmly said in a low sound voice, “We’re 13.” The head principals face turned bright red with anger. He yelled at him to get up, and he was screaming his head off about back talking. He was sent to the office but later came back. Of course I came up with bright idea, to comment on the schools instagram, as seen by the photos. Then a few friends said some stuff along w/ me (OFF CAMPUS GROUNDS). I was very mad at him, and I needed a way to express my anger. We later removed the comments after about 3 hours.(we knew that they would come up with some way to punish us, so we removed them even knowing we probably would still be called up) All was fine for the next day, but then came friday. A girl (I know who it is, I was able to tell from layout of her android phone and I was told by someone who it was before I was sent to the office) screenshotted the posts made by us and went to the office to snitch. I was called to the office, and my father was there. I was told that it was extremely disrespectful, and harassing. He stated that, ‘You called me insane,’ and I instantly said, ‘No I didn’t, I described your yelling as insane.’ in which he replied with, ‘You won’t get very far with mincing my words around, its the same difference.’ (I didn’t say anything after that.) He went on saying that he & my family are great friends and how we have one kid co teaching Home Economics, a kid in 8th- and 6th. (I being in 7th) He said that he firmly raised his voice, but he didn't. (Witnesses will say so). He threw in that their instagram page is a site of selvidge.. (???) He said that he doesn’t want to put me ‘out,’ of school, or ‘in,’ so the result punishment was 30 days of lunch detention, keep in mind that is pretty much up into the end of school along with my phone being banned at school as long as I’m in lunch detention. (a couple of ISS/OSS days > 30 days (a month) of lunch detention/phone ban. ---- but I run track and if I got any ISS or OSS I would get kicked from the team so I didn’t say anything.)Back to the point- He said this sentence can be reduced by me ‘improving,’ and said I should participate in this event for school, ‘ColorRun - Make a difference,’ where its a run and you clean up the wood trails our school has. (I wasn’t planning on doing so.) When I came up I ended up researching my rights to freedom of speech, and the extent the public school system has over social media and infringements. I found cases of much more extreme cases and that the schools ruling were overturned. Heres all the links I found about this topic;

One of the more known cases against the freedoms we have/closest to my situation:

Did they have the right to punish me for doing this? (as a reminder it was off-campus // the comment was removed within 3 hours) - I’m the first btw.
If I go to court, can I undoubtedly win this case? If so, can I threaten to do so unless they stop the punishment? I know that the background information would be kinda pointless/not crucial evidence but just thought I should mention the background of the story :).
TL;R: 30 days of lunch detention/phone ban ( which 30 days = up to the end of school) for commenting on the school's picture.
Thank you so much if you read the the whole thing/ can help me! Please disregard any personal information seen, I tried covering most of it up.
As for the others, one student got the same punishment as me, but the one that said the same exact thing as me hasn't been called to the office yet.
