My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Arizona
I purchased a Toyota Tacoma in 2007 and had it insured through progressive. I got married. I called my agent and told them I recently got married and I wanted to add my husband to the policy. He was added but listed as an excluded driver. I didn't know that had happened. Many years later in September of 2014 my husband bought a Jeep. He is the main person on the loan. I told the gal that we bought a new jeep and now we would be driving two vehicles. Tacoma and Jeep. I asked to have my mom and dad removed from the policy (they were never excluded), and she did but never told me that my husband would be excluded still. I know that unless I recorded our conversation she will deny that I said that till my face is blue. Now my husband got into a car accident last week and they are trying to deny my claim because he is excluded. Now, I said were did I sign a paper saying that. The agent said well we cant find it in our files. Progressive claims rep says they don't have it. Did I need to have a signed contract or would that phone call that is documented on their logs be enough to say, sorry you are out of luck?
