My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Washington. I bought a 2003 Yamaha dirt bike and quad runner. They were finance though HSBC on the credit card they gave us when we purchased them. In 2005 heart attack and medical bills caused a bankruptcy. Bankruptcy discharged 11/2005. No one has ever come to our home to collect them and I do not even think we were asked to turn them in. Dont remember it's been 10 yrs. These are off road vehicles.
My son asked for the bike yesterday, since he is a knucklehead I would want it out of my name or not associated with it.
For a dirt bike or ATV we got a ORV sticker back then, now you get a license plate to use it, i'm not sure if there is even a title on these types.
Hasn't been registered since 2004, Would these be flagged at title bureau as bankrupt or something.
Can I just ask the title bureau or would that open up a can of worms.
What can I do to give it to him and not be responsible for it.
Thanks
S
