My question involves small claims court in the state of: California
Hello, I am having an issue with a makeup academy for makeup artists. Last year I paid them $2,000 to take a class. The class was canceled and nobody notified me. I only found out when I went to the classroom on the day of and no one was there. After, calling them and receiving attitude from their staff, they rescheduled me for a class that started today. Upon arriving, they said I owed them an additional $600, but I had already paid them in full and have receipts to back it up. I have had nothing but problems with this school and am extremely dissatisfied. I told them I want my money back, I have not attended the class. I was rudely told that their policy is no refunds. I do not want to do business with them as it is problem after problem. Am I able to take them to small claims to receive my money? They refuse to refund and are being extremely rude to me. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!!!
