Harassment: Textual Harassment (Am I at Risk for a Case)

mercredi 11 mars 2015

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

Alright now, beforehand it should be known that I am aware that the entire situation is rather juvenile, but I am genuinely concerned.

Essentially, I am currently involved In a situation in which three girls and myself and going to be living in an apartment next year. (Or at least we were supposed to) Throughout this entire time two of the girls have been going back and forth about how they don't like the other, and today it was finally brought into the light. They both seem to agree that I'm the problem in the situation as I took both of their sides, but didn't tell the other, whatever. Now. This was brought up to me in a text message. One of the girls however sent me a text calling me all kinds of names and threatening to beat me up. I told her not to threaten me and continued to engage in how I thought she was acting childish, etc. she then sent me a text saying she was done with me and not to text her anymore, but then made it a point to add in all of these other jabs at me. I DID reply and tell her how she was wrong and such and that I wasn't just going to let her say "don't text me anymore...." Then add in all of this other stuff. She then would engage back and forth and after going back and forth told me to "not text her and to get off her phone with the BS I'm talking". Now..she DID tell me not to text her, and I did retort with "I'm going to defend myself and if you don't want to talk to me feel free to block me". I did eventually leave the situation, but now she's saying I harassed her. Is this harassment on my end? I'm genuinely asking.
