Criminal Law Issues: Can You Get Citizenship if You Have a Criminal Record of Murder

lundi 16 mars 2015

I was just wondering, my german husband served 7 years of prison for what was termed, homicide. There was an argument and it was an accidental death. He served 7 years, in which he had an exemplary record, was allowed to go and work at a regular job outside of prison every day, and then when the judge called him, the judge told him, he was very sorry for having been made to serve the time because he felt that it was wrong. He only made my husband go to the parole office one time and never again and wished him a good life. Does this crime on his record automatically exclude him from getting citizenship? and if it does, will it be exclusion forever?
