Other Violations: CVC 14603 Would/Can a Judge Turn It into a Fix-It

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

VC Violated: 14603

I drove 4 hours from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe, as I arrived, I guess I didn't realize that I drove over the lane a couple times due to being tired. Anyways, Tahoe PD pulled me over thinking I was DUI. I was not. He then cited me for 14603 for not wearing corrective lenses.

I received my license 2 years ago, when I received it, I wore glasses. I recently changed over to RGB (Rigid Gas Permeable http://ift.tt/1JHG22O) contact lenses. RGB contact are worn at night while you sleep instead of daytime like traditional contacts. During daytime, you remove the contacts and you can see clearly. The officer stated that I needed to being wearing the contacts as I drive.

After changing to RGB lenses, I never thought about changing the information on my DL. I tried to explain this situation to the officer my story, he wrote me a fix-it ticket and said to have an officer sign off after I changed the information at the DMV. The ticket he wrote me had a check to confirm that this was a fix-it ticket.

I got it signed off, paid the processing fee, and mailed it to Tahoe. A week later, I got the ticket back stating that "Although an officer signed this off, it is not considered a correctable violation. Please send the balance of $208 by 4/6/2015 or you risk being sent to collections."

First question: If I drive back to Tahoe, would I still be able to go to court?

Second question: Would the judge be able to change it back to a fix-it ticket?

Third question: Would I get a point for this violation?
