my question is, i bought 2 items on facebook resale group, was told one thing only to find out when i got them home that oen was not what it was supposed to be, and the other was broken when they packed it. Now in the state im in, they are calling it a civil matter, yet in other states ive lived in it was called theft by deception. now i have all the texts and private messages from the person who sold them to me, even some that said they would give me my money back, but then the next day they blocked me on facebook and reject all my calls and texts. i have found out by alot of people on those groups that this same person has ripped others off as well. now my state keeps telling me its a civil matter and it will cost me over $140 to file a civil matter, but i was told by 2 police officers in another county but still same state, they do not call it a civil they call it theft by deception.... What can i do?
