My question involves criminal law for the state of: south dakota, my fiance has a case that's been open for 9 years now. He was approved to leave the state n get transferred to the state of md however when he arrived to md he was extradited back to south Dakota on a different matter before he had the opportunity to finish the transfer paperwork. When was released in July 2014 again he was cleared to transfer to another state and we came to sc now he's been picked up for a warrant from south dakota n has been stated that he did not keep in contact til the transfer was completed however he made every attempt. When he was arrested last thursday on this matter i attempted to call the number we had n went through 6 numbers til i got the correct one only to find out that they had neglected to inform him of any changes made to his case when they assigned a new po to him. Now they r looking to once again extradite him from his family n the life he has set up n managed to have without any legal issues. Can we file the transfer papers and find a way around the extradtion if we have a probation officer willing to take his case?
