My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: new jersey

about two weeks ago there was construction on one of the main roads in my area and because of that i was forced to find an alternate route. I quickly made a right and had to wait for the light to change 3 times before i even got close to the next corner. when the light finally turned green and i saw the few cars in front of me passing the light. some guy decides to walk through oncoming traffic and forced the only car in front of me to slam on his brakes and obviously caused me to do the same. out of pure instinct i hit the horn because i thought i was going to rear end the car in front of me. after i sounded the horn the police officer at that corner yelled " what the **** is your problem" and i replied "this man is jaywalking and almost made me hit the guy in front of me" keep in mind he never approached the car or even directed traffic only yelled from the other side of the road. he was standing behind the cones where the street was being blocked off. he then replied " pedestrians have the right to a crosswalk at any time" and i respectfully disagreed by saying "i know for a fact that he cannot cross on a green light especially when there is heavy traffic" never did the cop signal the car in front of me to stop or the man to pass but anyway back to the story.. the asshole ... i mean cop says "dont worry ill mail you your ticket" as i drove off. now im here trying to find a way out of this stupid situation. please help any advice will be considered heavily. i am hoping to receive the officers notes so i can be prepared to go to court and win this thing. court will be on the 25th of march so please help. if i have any usefull information after i win/lose this thing i will share my information. thank you in advance
