My question involves medical malpractice in the state of: Michigan.
Last November (2013) I was hospitalized and began treatment for mental illness for which I still have no diagnosis.
After initially being prescribed respridal and clonazapam I was taken off of it and prescribed seroquel. My prescription was eventually raised to 800mg daily. Shortly after this dose was prescribed I began sleep walking and eventually while sleep walking collapsed down my stairs and shattered my Distal Radius. I received inpatient surgery for the broken arm/wrist and have a scar that stretches from my hand by my thumb up to about halfway up my forearm. I am wondering if the size of my perscription would be of enough concern to file a lawsuit with my old psychiatrist as my injury has left me frequently sore and throbbing with mild pain and my mobility is severely limited in my right wrist.
My current prescription has been lowered by my new mental health professional (A nurse practitioner) to 600mg of seroquel and 300 mg of neurontin for the time being.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
