Registering a Vehicle: Registering a Car to a Home You Own, While Living in a Different State

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: PA & NJ

I am a PA resident (transplanted from NJ) in 2003. I have privates homes in both states (non-rental property). I have owned my NJ home since 1988. And make monthly visits to NJ to see my mom & siblings. My mom and uncle are currently residing in my NJ house. My current vehicles are licensed and insured in PA. My uncle (NJ license) & I are purchasing a very expensive electric vehicle (Tesla) in NJ and plan to register and insure vehicle in NJ. Vehicle will be used strictly for pleasure to keep miles down. Uncle does not want his name on registration (doesn't believe in wills), so vehicle will be in my name only. Since, he is paying for most of car, I want to keep car in NJ for his use. Can I legally maintain NJ registration and insurance for this vehicle even though I am a PA resident?

Thanks in advance.
