My question involves paternity law for the State of: Pennsylvania
I lived in Florida and was with a guy whom got me pregnant and then ran off. I moved here to Pennsylvania after the biological father denied the baby and said he wanted nothing to do with her. I am now 34 weeks pregnant and engaged to another guy who wants to sign the birth certificate. We have people telling us it is illegal, even after I contacted the biological father AGAIN last night and he again repeated the baby isn't his and he doesn't want anything to do with her. He even said he didn't care if my fiance signed the certificate. My question is, is this really illegal? Or can I even give her his last name for that matter? If it is illegal, how do I go about this the LEGAL way since he wants to step up to be her father. THIS IS ALL STRESSFUL. :wallbang:
