My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: California.
Woke up and saw my car was towed from condo. I forgot to display my permit. I went to pick it up and saw the time it was towed and it was towed 20 minutes after I got home. I read that under California law the car cannot be authorized to be towed until it has been there for at least an hour. [Vehicle Code section 22953(a)]
The patrol company says the law doesn't apply because it is a private community with no guest or public parking.
Are they correct or did they tow it illegally?
