Harassment: Refusal to Promote/Continued Harassment

mardi 21 octobre 2014

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Colorado

I've worked for a chain restaurant off and on for about 5 years starting in 2005. As a unit manager. Currently, nobody art my level has more tenure than myself. The unit I am in charge of is currently lacking a general manager. There is an interim gm here attempting to train a permanent person. I've asked the DoO too be placed in the running for this store as I need absolutely no training to perform the duties of a gm. I was told that she "could see me in a position in a year or so" then offered me a position set a store 2 hours away from my current geo location. I turned that offer down and explained that this was the unit I wanted and would show her that I was the right person for the job. Since then, they have placed 3 wildly unqualified people in the position. 2 have quit and the third was just offered the position ( after 2 weeks of employment ). All of these individuals are women. So art this point I can only assume that it's why they were all able to bypass me. The current person was hired when the last quit. ( she is the God- daughter of that interim gm = nepotism?)

The interim has harassed me for about 6 months on subjects like not completing job duties but severely understaffed my shift. Purposefully. Talking to staff about disciplinary actions against me. Asking staff members yup take photos of areas that I was to clean. All the while, continuing to understaff me by the chains Corp standards of staffing. The last gm trainee had get husband call Corp and make false claims that he was in there and said that I was mistreating the staff on duty and wore clothes with holes where you can clearly see private parts. I was very embarrassed about this until I discovered it it was him. In reply, I sent an email to the DoO asking for get involvement as this harassment is only thickening. As of today, I've heard nothing about it. What I'm asking is, am I being ridiculous or do I have grounds to make a stand and possibly get an attorney involved. Thank you in advance.
