My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Washington
Last night I was in a car that was pulled over with several intoxicated minors, with a sober driver. I was unaware that the driver did not have their license though, which resulted in the front passengers having to step out of the car. The front passenger refused the breathalyzer, as did I. The driver took a breathalyzer and passed, and one other passenger failed. I am aware I made a mistake in my actions, I just need some legal advice before proceeding. Do I have any chance of a dismissal of the MIP? The police didn't search the car, and there wasn't any alcohol in the vehicle. I know that if the officer can smell alcohol, he can give an MIP. Also, he didn't do anything to the driver who was driving without a license, he let him call a friend an go home. Isn't that illegal in itself? I know I made a mistake, and regret doing it because I have many plans at this point, for college(which I am already in early) and work, and without a license it would drastically reduce my ability to do these things, when I wasn't driving. Basically, I'm just wondering what is most likely going to happen to me.
