Disability Benefits: Can a SSI Recipient Spend Winter Months in Another State

I own my home and wish to stay at various places in various states in the south because this past winter took a toll on my well being that carried over into summer months and worsened my health conditions. I don't want to jeopardize my SSI benefits but cannot physically handle the worst winter months in NY. Thanks in advance for your reply.
