My question involves child support in the State of: Illinois , My son is 18 so child support has ended . His mother took assistance while at the same time i was paying her a agreed $150 per month . Long story short , I owe $26000 i have no assets no job and have been struggling paying $180 per month for the last 6 months . They say if im a day late i will owe the whole balance . My question is would i qualify for arrear forgiveness or maybe reduced lump sum settlement ? And can a reduced settlement still be made in monthly payments ?
