Sales Agreements: New Car Still Not Delivered by Dealer, Eight Months Later

mercredi 11 mars 2015

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: New Jersey

I purchased a brand new car (custom made) from the dealer in July 2014. The dealer told me the car would take 3 months to deliver because it needs to be made in Germany and then shipped over. Since then, I've received about 5 or 6 different dates from the dealer as to when the car will arrive, none of which has been accurate. It's now been 8 months since I purchased the car and I still have no car or definitive date as to when it will arrive. Is there a way I can just get out of my sale agreement? I looked at the sales contract and unfortunately it doesn't give any length in time as to which it's valid for. It does however say that the dealer is liable for any delays due to negligence on their end.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
