My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: South Carolina.
I found out my landlord LOST the master set of keys to my apt approximately 2 months ago, although they deny it. They have since changed the locks on the doors.
Is there anything else that could be done? It is also time for me to meet the lease agent related to signing a new lease. Is it appropriate to ask for my rent to remain where it is currently and not go up, as they compromised my safety on losing my keys?
